A.C. Lykins, 84, passed away Saturday, January 6 at his home in Bryan.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 11 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 - 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A.C. was born October 14, 1933 in Izona, Texas the son of Chambers and Annie Mae (Cole) Lykins. He served in the National Guard from 1952-54 as a military police officer. He retired from Continental Can Corporation after 30 years of service. He...

A.C. was born October 14, 1933 in Izona, Texas the son of Chambers and Annie Mae (Cole) Lykins. He served in the National Guard from 1952-54 as a military police officer. He retired from Continental Can Corporation after 30 years of service. He and Shirley owned and operated A & S Home Furnishings in Houston and Pasadena for 20 years. A.C. enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Grand Station Seniors Bowling League, where he served as President of the league for 17 years.

A.C. is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Rollins, Ricky and James Lykins; and a sister, Barbara Cota.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Lykins, daughter and son-in-law, Trudy and William Skillern; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Deana Lykins; grandsons, Jason Graddy, Logan Lykins and Aaron Mettey; sisters and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Richard Cole, and Virginia Knight; and numerous nieces and nephews.
